We use Google Sheets to create scripts for conversational AI interviews. I also use Google Sheets to quality control AI training and document potential AI matching issues.
  • It's very easy to organize information automatically
  • It's easy to move rows and columns of information dragging and dropping
  • It's easy to format information depending on what view you need to complete the task
  • I had an issue where I wanted to add numbers in a cell and then order them by number. But when I tried to organize using the "Sort Data" function, it didn't go in numerical order. It went 1, 11, 12 instead of 1, 2, 3. That was strange. Not sure if it still does this.
When you have a large amount of data you need to review/analyze/track, Google Sheets, in my opinion, is superior to Excel because it is more user-friendly in terms of flexibility moving the data around (drag and drop large chunks of data in rows or columns), formatting data so it is easier to read and navigate.

Google sheets is used, frankly, as a filler for Microsoft Excel. While it generally does the job, in my opinion it lacks functionality as a whole, is clunky, and in my personal opinion, annoying to use. With Excel I'm constantly finding new things its capable of doing, while with Sheets i'm constantly finding new things it CAN'T do.
  • Basic spreadsheet functionality
  • Live shared editing
  • Easy online access for any user
  • Conditional formatting is clunky and lacking
  • General formatting is either difficult to use or doesn't exist
  • Formulas are more difficult to use than Excel
  • Chart/graphics options are more limited
Google sheets was fine for my personal use in college. Google sheets is fine for a business looking to use a spreadsheet for organization of names/lists/information and where online access or group editing is a heavy focus (though this can now be done with Excel as well). Google sheets has a lightweight feel and is great for simple tasks and uses

We share files with one of our clients so we can always easily access and edit the files. It has worked out very well for the work we are doing so far. Everyone is able to contribute on their own time, which is particularly helpful since we are in different time zones.
  • Allows multiple users to edit
  • Allows you to customize the look of your page/ the rows and columns
  • Offers a convenient way to coordinate with people in a different time zone
  • No spell check
  • Could be easier to move rows or columns
When trying to coordinate files and data with multiple users in different organizations, it is a very valuable tool. This works really well with my clients who are located in various time zones. We share with candidates that we have sources in the Google Sheets and they can comment at their convenience.

Google Sheets are used mainly for unofficial purposes that may or may not include sharing specific data. The informal usage includes sharing contact sheets or demo data for stories and keeping a tab of some operational duties within the team. The user-friendly access and sharing facility helps in getting access to data at a better pace.
  • Easy to share and user-friendly accessibility.
  • Allows everyone with access to edit and keep a track of the real-time changes.
  • Chart creation and visual representation features it offers.
  • File Management
  • Plugins
  • Slow
For beginners, Google Sheet is a really nice platform to start getting used to collating data and creating easy-to-read data. I believe that college students stand to benefit from the use of Google Sheets due to its easy access and user-friendly interface. The easy to share and access ability of Google Sheets stands out amongst its competitors. The function to allow everyone with access to edit and keep a track of the real-time changes makes it easier for the team and also improves the speed. Another interesting feature that has kept Google Sheets in the second place on my list is the chart creation and visual representation features it offers.

I have been using Google Sheets for the last two years. This is very helpful for maintaining the attendance records, viva, examination and plotting the graph, etc. Google sheets are highly secure and they can be easily integrated with another platform. It supports various formats that makes the user interact easily. Google sheets are in a growing phase, it has a huge scope in the future for many purposes like education and business.
  • It helps me in generate the graph on given data.
  • it helps me in maintaining the records of students sheets evaluation.
  • It helps in searching the records by using the shortcut command.
  • There should be integrations with other online tools
Google Sheets is well suited when someone wants to keep track of records in a systemic manner. Google Sheets is also helpful in working as a team by giving access to other teammates for some specified task. It is highly secure and one of the best tools to work with.

Google Sheets is used in our entire organization across all departments. It helps us to work with our colleagues, who work in other departments. Google Sheets allows us to work in the same file simultaneously with our colleagues which saves a lot of time and resources. This helps us to solve existing business problems much faster.
  • It is a cloud-based platform.
  • You can work in the same file simultaneously with your colleagues.
  • It allows you to share files much faster.
  • It allows you to access your Google Sheet files whenever you like and wherever you like if you have stable internet connection.
  • It has great integration with other Google software.
  • Google Sheets is very user-friendly and very intuitive to use.
  • Excel is much more functional compared to Google Sheets
  • Google Sheets is extremely slow when you load a big file
If you have a lot of projects with your colleagues and you need to work on the same file, Google Sheet provides a perfect opportunity to save resources and time. It makes the working process much more enjoyable as you can both work on the same file simultaneously. However, if you need to work on large spreadsheets I would not recommend you to use this software.

We use Google sheets to track and update projects in real time by multiple people in various locations. We also use it as a bridge between other applications and Tableau via Zapier.
  • Easier than Excel to create formulas and conditional formats, etc
  • Integrates with almost anything so can be easily used as a workaround to link two programs that aren't integrated with each other
  • Makes sharing work and updates very seamless
  • Would love to see better AI that takes more of the guesswork out of formulas, especially for newer users
  • Sometimes there are glitches with the horizontal scrollbar
Google Sheets is suitable for just about every standard Excel task (though I haven't tried to use it for visual analysis or pivot tables). It is particularly strong as the middleman connection point between programs via Zapier. It's extremely useful for sharing and updating information among multiple, geographically dispersed coworkers.

We use Google Sheets for meeting notes and to organize our projects collaboratively with remote staff working in different locations. We also use Google Sheets in projects with our clients where they are able to send us updates and we can track the progress together. We also use it to create show schedules and organize our division of labour.
  • Collaboration.
  • Organization.
  • Remote work / easily share.
  • Easy to access.
  • User friendly.
  • Account seems to switch while I am working on a project.
  • Assigning actions needs work.
  • Default link sharing should stay consistent.
Great for remote teams and long-distance clients. Great way to organize work. A good way to make a schedule and share it with colleagues. Can easily see updates/changes that have been made. Can easily access your sheets on different devices. Some functions require Excel rather than sheets - specifically formulas and different accounting functions/cell formatting.

Google Sheets is invaluable to my work. At its most basic, it is spreadsheet software that makes keeping data stored in an easy to view format. It has many different built-in sort and filter features as well as an extensive list of functions to enhance data. Google Sheets comes alive when paired with Apps Script where with a little coding knowledge, much work can be automated.
  • Holding Data.
  • Multiple Users working on data at once.
  • Apps Script allowing for custom functions.
  • Processing speed when working on very large data sources.
  • Better Apps Script support for newer features.
  • An automatic highlight duplicates option.
Google Sheets is best suited for any data manipulation or storage needs. It is easy to record macros, which is fantastic if you find yourself always formatting abstract data in the same way. It is also fantastic when you need multiple people to all update the spreadsheet at once due to being able to have multiple users online at a time. It is fantastic for collating Google Form data as it supports automatic syncing.

Google sheets is great for helping organize data. We use it in conjunction with Google forms to collect and analyze information from clients and colleagues. We can then use the data to produce charts and graphics which provide a better visual representation. We use Sheets on a daily basis throughout our organization and have found them to be very effective for collaboration and sharing.
  • Organization of data.
  • Production of graphs for better visual effects.
  • Ease of collaboration with colleagues and clients.
  • I would like to see more shortcuts for formulas. It appears that some improvements have been made as compared to competitors, but for novice users this would be beneficial.
  • There are so many tools within sheets but users are probably unfamiliar with them. It would be great if there were some automatic suggestions from the program that users could turn off if they didn't want to use them.
Offline editing is great for working remotely when wifi may not be readily available. It is also great for conversion of Microsoft Excel or Apple Numbers documents. When working with large datasets, it seems like Excel can handle more data better than Google sheets. It also works well with other Google programs such as docs. Some users report that formulas work better in Excel. Overall, for most applications, Google sheets has a clear edge for me.

Our whole company uses Google Sheets for campaign tracking and accounting. Within Marketing we use it to target brands we need contacts for and who we have and have not reached out to. For our multiple campaigns, we use it to track which stage the campaign is in and update it for all departments to be able to check the progress at any time. It is also very useful for easily inputting multiple fields of data and then downloading as a .csv file so we can upload to our internal dashboard.
  • Track analytics from our newsletter user engagement
  • Track the progress and notes for our campaign progression
  • Make it so we can share files of data and update in real time
  • The various function could be more easily accessible at the top of the sheet
  • The sharing feature is a little hard to navigate to make sure the right people are able to access
Google Sheets is great for teams of colleagues who need to track and update analytics in real time from multiple locations. If you need to easily upload data you can input into Google Sheets, then download as a .csv file to then easily upload to internal databases. Basically, anywhere you need to input data across various cells and access the data from any location, Google Sheets works perfectly.

I use it almost everyday. I export reports out into [Google] Sheets from Excel. The best part of Google Sheets has been the ability to have multiple user use the Sheet at the same time and be able to see your movement and entry in real time. We do a lot of group reports with data we then create graphs and pivot tables. You can share the Sheet via email with someone and you can provide them with edit rights or just viewing rights. I have several tab (aka Sheets) that have been added to make monthly report for the year with all 12 months of data. I have also created Pivot tables base on process volume month over month charts. Sheets is the greatest. If you haven't had a chance to play around in it you should if you company use it because it is the best for TEAM project.
  • Sharing capability in real time
  • Download in Excel, PDF or CSV
  • Pivot tables
  • Charts
  • The only issue I miss Excel has, [Google] Sheets does not, is formulas. Formulas are better in Excel

We use Google Sheets in our back of house operations to organize important data such as staff contact information, affiliate contact information, inventory of stock, and to plan out events / scheduling. We also use Google Sheets when sending reports & invoices to businesses. Googles sheets has helped our business keep organized.

  • Clean looking interface
  • Easily Shareable/Group-Editable
  • Mostly user friendly
  • Customizable Settings
  • Functions are hard to understand how to use
  • Could have a better 'help' / 'how to' section for difficult functions
  • Easier Exporting Option
Google Sheets is great for payroll as it's extremely easy to organizes the number of hours an employee works, their rate, the pay date range, in a good looking sheet that is easy for others to read.

We are using Google Sheets as a department. We are able to link our Jira to Google Sheets which allows us to organize all our tasks to be presented in one sheet. Our sheet is also organized by people so each team member can see all their tasks and projects in one concise place. This allows us to be organized and aware of where everything is.
  • Organization
  • User experience
  • Clarity
  • A little slow at times
Google Sheets is a great option when trying to organize tasks for team members. While working through Jira, we were able to pull all the data we needed, from status, who to assign to, and when tasks were due, In a scenario where you want organization, Google Sheets is for you!

Google Sheets is widely used in my organization. The main reason for using it is due to its feature of being a cloud application. This makes is very easy for collaboration with teams and sharing of the data without any inconvenience. Accessing the data becomes real hassle free task and with its improved fastness and smoothness in its performance, it is definitely becoming the first choice for many.
  • Ease of accessibility being an cloud based application. Data can be accessed from anywhere and no need to keep saving the data in our local systems.
  • Sharing of files becomes very easy and helps in better collaboration with teams
  • It allows us to see a timeline of all the changes we have done to the document
  • Much faster in performance
  • Formatting in google sheets is difficult and should be definitely improved
  • Charts and Pivots are not up to the mark when compared to MS Excel
  • Cannot use it without internet
  • Becomes little difficult to work when we have huge data and are dealing with many columns
Google Sheets is very well suited for large teams or when collaborating with multiple teams as it becomes easier to access data from cloud. Multiple updates can be done simultaneously without any hassles making it easier to work. It is not as helpful when we need to use data for graphical representations ( charts) and also for pivot tables.

Google Sheets allows my team to work collaboratively together, without needed to send multitudes of emails and spreadsheets back and forth. We use Sheets as trackers, for calculations and formulas and data warehouses. The functionality allows multiple people to work on the document or access information at the same time. With features that rival other spreadsheet software, I find Sheets the most user-friendly and easy to use.
  • Data filtering
  • Filtering
  • Pivot tables
  • vlook up
  • download/export function
I would recommend this to a teammate or colleague who needs a spreadsheet with more collaborative capabilities than mathematical/formula-type capabilities. We use Sheets to track vaccination bonuses and the pivot functionality to ensure no employee is over paid a bonus. It allows multiple teammates across the country to enter data at the same time and then allows me to audit and confirm the data before payroll processing.

  • Cross department collaboration
  • Training of new AEs

  • better copy and pasting of images and charts
  • integrations with other apps

Google Sheets offers some the best features when it comes to handling data. The software can import data from other software such as Google forms and also makes it easy to share data across departments or teams hence better collaboration. Google Sheets is easily accessible and using and understanding its different features is easy as well. Whether it is data management, presentations, manipulations, or data collaboration, Google Sheets never disappoints. It has been a resourceful software and is deployed across several departments.
  • Google Sheets makes data manipulations easy thanks to the many formulas
  • With Google Sheets, data sharing and presentation becomes easy
  • The software integrates well with other Google products
  • The software is web based and therefore can be accessed from anywhere
  • Not so many issues to complain about. However, I have noted that Google Sheets is not mobile friendly
Google Sheets is a great tool mostly for people in the finance department such as accountants who have to analyze hundreds of transactions. The software makes it easy to organize data and handle some analysis. Also, when it comes to data presentation, Google Sheets offers some of the best features. However, this is not to sat people outside the finance docket cannot benefit from this software. It is a great tool to have when handling data.

Long time heavy excel user...switched and utilize Google Sheets for most (but not all) spreadsheet work. The work from home (with the switching being in the office and home) has made [working] through the pandemic easier. It is used by accounting only. I also use the Google Suite with my home financials also.
  • Autosave
  • Multiple browser solution
  • Ability to work on Mac and Windows
  • Auto update of pivot tables
  • Pivot tables are different but could be improved upon; sort, totals, filters
  • When entering negative numbers as the first in a formula you need to remember to "+-100+25" instead of "-100+25"
  • The power of the internet of course makes it easy to find solution, but the help function is not easily available
  • Color coding changes on the cell, but there is not an easy way to click on a cell and use the selected color; like excel
  • Love that [Google Sheets] has an autosave feature when editing as we all have wasted recreating a spreadsheet in Excel when your computer restarts; which it always does but the one time you are working on a huge project and you forget to hit save before you go home
  • The ability to pull up through a browser at home, and one at work, doesn't require you to send emails back and forth; which needed to do with excel.
  • cannot think of an scenarios where it isnt appropriate.
  • Ditched Windows after the Vista debacle to Mac and hands down Google sheets is better than Sheets.

We use Google Sheets to coordinate up-to-date and accurate information among several employees, especially as we prepare as a team for major events, such as our annual Summer Camp and Youth Conference. Google Sheets allows us to make sure no data is left behind, and it prevents us from unnecessary duplication of time consuming work (such as data entry).
  • Helps coordinate accurate data
  • Helps eliminate inefficiencies and unnecessary busy work
  • Helps us prepare guests lists and rosters for events
  • Quicker response time when scrolling (seems jarring at times)
  • Better printing formatting (when you want to print a spreadsheet)
  • More aesthetically pleasing (sometimes appears very basic)
Google Sheets is excellent when you have a team of coworkers who are working together on major events. Google Sheets allows them to coordinate effectively and ensure that they are all using the most updated data and the same information. In contrast, however, Google Sheets would be inferior to a program like Microsoft Excel when a single individual was working on a project by themselves.

We use all the Google products (Docs, Sheets, Slides) at my organization, primarily due to the ease of collaboration and sharing across teams. Specifically with Google Sheets, my team is able to track and analyze data collaboratively, allowing different members to add, edit, and comment within the spreadsheet. The features are robust and while not fully capable of what Excel can offer, will likely meet the spreadsheet needs of most users.
  • Collaboration and Sharing is intuitive and built into the program.
  • Easy to get started using for anyone familiar with spreadsheet applications.
  • Offers most all the features everyday users will need.
  • It's not Excel and doesn't have the full functionality it offers, which may be an obstacle for some power users.
For most office workers, Google Sheets offers sufficient capability and provides excellent collaboration and sharing for teams. And even because it has fewer features, it is likely even easier to use for some beginner spreadsheet users. I'm not familiar with the Enterprise cost but I feel it's likely better than Microsoft's. For small SMBs, they likely can use it for free or nearly free.

However, if your team needs more complex formulas and functions and conducts more complicated data analysis, Sheets may not offer you enough.

I use Google Sheets as a resources-planning tool with my colleagues. It allows us to stay organized and collaborate at the same time on a project.
  • Simultaneous collaboration
  • User-friendly
  • Occasionally lags, have to refresh screen
  • Double click to autopopulate cells would be a great feature!
I use Google Sheets with my Account Executives to plan which person will prospect into certain accounts. It makes it so easy for two people on different sides of the country to edit the same document at the same time. I use Google Sheets every day and legitimately cannot find any scenario where it would not be a useful tool. I even take notes in Sheets.

We use Google sheets in many ways, such as;
  • Use it as a collaboration tool dynamic sheet that we can share with others in real-time
  • We use it as a webhook to connect to other integration tools for sharing information from one system to another
  • We also use it to capture online form entries from Google Forms
  • We also connect it to different email software so we can run email campaigns using Google Sheet
  • Collaborating spreadsheets between users real time
  • Integration to other software systems
  • Easy to use and quick to deploy
  • The best free spreadsheet collaboration solution in the market
  • Give it more smart capability
  • Make it more mobile friendly
  • Make it more usable via Apple products
Google sheets is great for groups or organizations that need to collaborate and share information in real-time as well as being easy to use. Since it is free and it is at no cost to any organization to start and deploy this solution, there really is no decision-making necessary.

It also gives you the opportunity to upgrade for more advanced users, so it satisfies most organizations

Google Sheets is my favorite way of organizing information. I can access it from my work computer, personal computer and phone with ease. My favorite aspect of Google Sheets is the ability to "share" the document in real time for others to view and/or collaborate on. It streamlines the process seamlessly for all involved. And, it's free!
  • Ability to share docs with others
  • User friendly
  • affordable alternative to microsoft excel
Google Sheets is best when sharing data in real time with others. It may not be appropriate to use with sensitive information, since it is stored in the cloud and can easily be accessed from various devices, as opposed to having a spreadsheet saved locally on one computer's hard drive.

Wonderful for sharing and updating teams on the status of collection accounts and other projects. That it is web-based and easily accessible by all team members is the most useful part.
  • Multiple users
  • Web-based product
  • Multi-column V-lookup is handy. Type formula once, multiple columns returned.
  • Shifting to Sheets after years and years of Excel is like learning to crawl after I've been running for years. Some sort of translator document. Such as if you use XYZ in Excel, the same function can be found here in Sheets
  • Functionality shuts down after 5K or so lines are used. I work in finance. We have hundreds of thousands of transactions we need to analyze.
  • If Big Query is the answer to large amounts of data, it needs to be as easy to use as Sheets is.
Would recommend it for anything that Excel does *EXCEPT* working with large amounts of data. If you are working with large amounts of data, you will still need to analyze in Excel then share results with Sheets. In my company, we do not all have access to Big Query to accommodate this.
